Rodney Dunican opens
the meeting at 7:05 pm
Motion to approve the minutes from 2/12/08 meeting was seconded and passed.
Treasurer's Report
Mike Barry gave the club's fiscal report. Motion to approve the report was seconded and
passed.
Principal's Report
Judy Sanders stated that the Garden Club is having a meeting
on March 19th and a work party on April 13th. A District budget meeting will be held at Kennedy
High School on Thursday.
National Night Out
Event
Greg Harmon, Kensington Police Chief, introduced
himself. Val Paola spoke about the crime/drug
prevention event to be held on August 5th. John Feld and Donald Miller also explained
how the event is designed to generate support and participation in local
anticrime programs.
PTA Report
Catherine Mercurio stated that planning for the Carnival is
under way.
Teacher's Report
Dads Club members read thank-you notes from teachers.
Work Parties
Lajoies' work party is scheduled for Saturday, April 19th
from 9am to 5pm.
Capone's work party will take place this summer.
Carnival
Set-up will occur on May 9th - 10th. We need help with games, bikes, food, booths,
and managing the money generated during the event.
Officers are needed
for next year. Rod explained that this
is an extraordinary opportunity that should not be ignored.
Movie Night will take
place on May 30th.
Dad's Club Dinner
possible date is June 13th.
The KCC Spring Celebration
will happen at the Community Center on Saturday.
Ladies Night Out
Volunteer drivers are needed to return ladies to their homes
after the party. Contact Sylvia Elsbury
at 527-5705.
