Rodney Dunican opens
the meeting at 7:00 pm

Motion to approve the minutes from 1/15/08 meeting (as amended) was seconded and
passed.

Treasurer's Report

Mike Barry gave the club's fiscal report.  Motion to approve the report was seconded and
passed.

Principal's Report

Judy Sanders stated that every teacher in the school will
receive a new computer.

The after-school math club has started, with about 40
children.

Benches and tables will be installed on the campus.

Teacher's Report

Toni Link thanked the Club for money donated to the teachers.
Club members read thank-you cards from
teachers.

The Garden Club met and would like the existing garden space
built-up.  There was discussion regarding
logistics.  John Cain, Toni and Csilla
will work on this.  Sean or Rob will help
make a truck available for soil transport.

Larry Polito stated that Dream Dinners raised $1600 for the
KEF and PTA.

PTA Report

Catherine Mercurio explained that Spirit Wear orders are
being accepted.  Art Night will be April
11th.  An astronomy and movie
night are being planned.  Next PTA
meeting will be regarding Portola Middle
School, on 3/13. 
KEF had no meeting in January.

Work Parties

Lajoies' work party is tentatively scheduled for late March.

Capones' want work party to occur in autumn.   There was discussion about timing.  Adam will propose to the Capones that their
work party take place before summer's over.

Carnival

Rob has begun working on the Carnival.  We need lead people for food, prizes, games,
set-up, bikes(?), and finances.  A
sign-up list for general commitments was circulated.

There was some discussion regarding Carnival logistics.  Some prizes are left over from last year,
which should be inventoried and displayed at the prize booth.  Costco runners are needed.

Spring Movie Night
is proposed for May 30th.
