KEF

The Kensington Education Foundation (KEF) is a 501c3 non-profit that was formed in 1983 with the goal of providing enrichment programs for Kensington Hilltop Elementary School.   The Science Lab was one of the first programs to be offered by KEF, and over the years KEF-sponsored programs offered at the campus have expanded to now include: the Spectra Art Program; Library for K thru 6; Primary Vocal Music; Primary Computer Lab; and the Read Naturally Program.   In addition, Oceans Week, a campus-wide science program will return to the school in the Spring; a new Math Development Program similar to Read Naturally will be launched at the beginning of February; and a new Accelerated Readers Program is already in use by our teachers .   In addition to its enrichment programs KEF also provides funding for supplemental classroom supplies, and a discretionary grant to each teacher for curriculum enhancements of each teacher’s choosing.   Additionally each year the KEF board identifies specific school projects to receive special one-time funding.
